The 6-day St Cuthbert’s Way pilgrimage we are offering, gives you the opportunity to experience and follow in the
footsteps of St Cuthbert, a 7 th  Century saint. It begins in Melrose in the Borders and finishes in Berwick
upon Tweed on the Northumberland coast via the tidal island Lindisfarne. The trip will be led by Shelly
Morse, shelly@soulcareseattle.com, and Dana Moore.

Cuthbert, beginning in the year 650, was responsible for the spread of Christianity in the North of
England at a time when the kingdom of North Umbria was being torn apart by internal strife and wars
with rival pagan kingdoms. His only weapons were solitary prayer, feeding the hungry, and curing sick.
But that is all he needed to capture the soul of North Umbria.
